Preliminary video footage of our first guillotine window by Advance Design Innovations.
This building in Melbourne designed by John Wardle Architects, showcases our guillotine window. The guillotine window is 4.5m wide x 7m high and manufactured by Grupo Sosoares, based in Portugal. Each of the three glass panels weigh 500kg. Fully motorised, the windows open with the touch of a button.
Obstacle detection sensor beams across the beam mean the window re-opens before it even comes into contact with anything. The guillotine window can be set up as a single glass panel with counterweights integrated into the tracks on the sides eliminating the need to have a horizontal counterweight as required by other guillotine window manufacturers.
